Local | By Press release November 11, 2022

WILLEMSTAD - On Thursday, November 10, the board of the Curaçao Clean Up Foundation (CCU) paid a visit to the Governor of Curaçao, Her Excellency Lucille George-Wout.

During the visit, the board was able to present a number of topics to the Governor to inform her about the current state of affairs regarding the CCU. For example, the establishment of an E-learning education package and the installation of so-called "recycling centers" were discussed, which should raise awareness of the importance of a clean Curaçao. Various cleaning actions were also discussed, such as on Klein Curaçao and St. Joris. In the past 10 editions of the Curacao Clean Up, the foundation has cleaned up 3.4 million kilos of waste thanks to the efforts of volunteers.
