WILLEMSTAD - Curaçao Clean Up, in collaboration with several local tour operators, organized a large-scale cleanup initiative on Klein Curaçao, aiming to protect the island’s natural beauty from pollution.

As part of ongoing efforts to keep the island free of waste, including plastics and other harmful materials, the cleanup drew significant community support. On Saturday, 100 volunteers collected a total of 302 bags of trash, removing waste from the beaches and surrounding areas.
Tour operators Ann Boat Trips, Mermaid, Irie Tours, and Blue Finn contributed by providing transportation and catering for the volunteers, ensuring the initiative ran smoothly.
“This effort not only helps preserve the natural environment of Klein Curaçao but also fosters a strong sense of community,” said the organizers. “The positive atmosphere among the volunteers made the day both impactful and enjoyable.”
Klein Curaçao, known for its pristine beaches and vibrant marine life, continues to be a focus for conservation efforts as the island seeks to balance tourism with environmental sustainability.
