WILLEMSTAD - Raey Lauffer is the new Tumba King of Curaçao. Last year's number two won the 50th edition of the festival with ‘Kòrsou t’ei Bula (Curaçao will jump). A composition by Hendrik de Windt with arrangement by Dwight Leoneta.

The battle for who can deliver the carnival song for 2020 was exciting this year. This was evident from the many good tumbas that went to the final. Seven old winners stood with twenty-four others doing their best to get into the history books. The way to the final Friday night was one that was fought not only in the Curaçao Festival Center this year, but also via social media.

The festival ended around 4 am and there were no incidents. The Music and Artists Organization (AMAK) can look back to a successful event.
