Curaçao Breaks Ground on New Air Traffic Control Operations Center

WILLEMSTAD – Curaçao has officially begun construction on a new air traffic control operations center. The groundbreaking ceremony recently took place in Seru Mahuma, marking a significant step forward in modernizing the island’s aviation infrastructure. 

The new facility will be located adjacent to the current headquarters of DC-ANSP (Dutch Caribbean Air Navigation Service Provider) and will function as a state-of-the-art Area Control Center. It is set to incorporate the latest advancements in air traffic management systems, including Remote Tower technology. 

This cutting-edge system will allow for the centralized control of airport towers on both Curaçao and Bonaire, enhancing coordination, efficiency, and safety in regional air traffic operations. 

With the growing importance of modern infrastructure in aviation, the new control center positions Curaçao as a technological leader in the Caribbean's airspace management.
