WILLEMSTAD - Curaçao and Suriname have embarked on a collaborative journey towards economic development. On Tuesday, Minister Ruisandro Cijntje from the Ministry of Economic Development (MEO) joined forces with Surinamese Minister of Foreign Affairs, Albert Ramdin (BVD), in signing a pivotal Letter of Intent (LOI). The government officially communicated this significant development.
The signed document symbolizes a reciprocal commitment from both Curaçao and Suriname to work hand in hand for economic development.
Furthermore, the LOI serves as a commitment for heightened investments, increased trade, and collaborative efforts in crucial sectors, including tourism, food security, regional and bilateral partnerships, according to official government statements.
