THE HAGUE - The governments of Curaçao and Aruba have failed to meet the urgent deadline set by Secretary of State Alexandra van Huffelen for signing the agreements to refinance their COVID-19 loans, as of this morning (Dutch time). However, Sint Maarten has promptly complied.
Van Huffelen expresses hope that Curaçao and Aruba will sign the agreements later today. Failure to do so could result in the loans becoming immediately callable.
