Cruise ship with possibly 4 people infected with coronavirus is in the harbor

WILLEMSTAD - The cruise ship MS Braemar, operated by Fred Olsen, is now in the St. Anna Bay in Curaçao. The just docked a moment ago but none of the crew or passengers can go on land. This was the decision of the Department of Public Health (GMN). There are possibly 3 crew members and at least 1 passenger that are infected with the coronavirus.

Medical experts are now onboard the cruise ship to do their tests. The ship itself sounded the alarm when one person aboard tested positive for the virus. A few days later 4 people are showing symptoms of COVID-19. At least one of them had contact with the first person that was infected.

The physician on the ship took the necessary measures by isolating the 4 people. But now the local health department will conduct their own tests and once the results are in, the ship can continue with their own protocols.

It is not sure until when the ship will remain in Curaçao. Several ports have already rejected the ship.
