WILLEMSTAD – Green Phenix Curaçao, an organization dedicated to recycling and social inclusion, is at risk of losing its workspace in Zeelandia and is urgently searching for a new location. Without a suitable space, not only will its recycling operations be jeopardized, but also its educational and social programs, the organization stated in a press release.
Green Phenix processes and recycles plastic and aluminum, playing a key role in Curaçao’s circular economy. Additionally, the organization provides training and work programs for vulnerable groups, giving them opportunities for personal growth and economic participation.
According to founder Sabine Berendse, the situation is urgent. “We are incredibly proud of what we have achieved, but without a new location, we cannot continue our activities. We call on the community to help us find a sustainable solution.”
