Local | By Correspondent August 18, 2023

WILLEMSTAD - In a recent development, two suspects linked to the Parrot case were brought before the court yesterday. The case centers around the alleged smuggling of around 800 kilograms of cocaine through the Curaçao port en route to Europe. Presently, a total of five individuals remain in custody as part of this investigation. Among them, two were slated to make their appearance in court on the preceding day.

These individuals, aged 46 and 53, are both employed as guards. They vehemently asserted their innocence and sought their release, yet the legal representatives of the duo faced an unsuccessful outcome. The court has scheduled a pro-forma session for December 1st, reflecting the ongoing nature of the investigation.
