WILLEMSTAD - Cpost International has introduced a new stamp series titled Colorful Curaçao. The series was designed by Martina Doevelaar, a Dutch graphic designer and artist who has lived in Curaçao since 2010.
The stamps pay tribute to the vibrant and colorful architecture of Curaçao. Rather than depicting only well-known landmarks, this series focuses on buildings that have been carefully restored to their former glory. Color plays a central role, as Curaçao is renowned for its colorful appearance.

The series consists of six portraits of restored buildings in the Otrobanda and Pietermaai districts, where an increasing number of structures are regaining their old splendor. These buildings serve valuable functions within the community.
The façades of these buildings often go unnoticed due to their commercial functions. Therefore, commercial signage has been omitted from the stamps to highlight the beauty of the architecture. The background colors symbolize the sky of Curaçao and complement the hues of the buildings.
