WILLEMSTAD – Cpost International N.V. has announced the closure of its Otrobanda branch, citing a significant decline in usage and financial sustainability concerns. Following a thorough evaluation, the company determined that keeping the location operational was no longer viable.
Customers Directed to Alternative Locations
Customers can continue accessing Cpost’s innovative services at its branches in Punda and Groot Kwartier, where the company is increasingly focusing on digital solutions. These include payment kiosks for services such as vehicle tax payments, PuntoMio, and Guardian Group Fatum insurance.
Adapting to Changing Needs
"We see this closure as the end of an era, but we are committed to adapting to the changing needs of the community," stated Cpost. The global decline in traditional mail services has led to a shift towards package delivery and non-postal services, prompting Cpost to modernize its offerings.
Enhanced Digital Services on the Way
"Innovation remains at the core of our strategy," said Cpost Director Jervhes Josephia. He confirmed that the company is expanding its digital services, with plans to introduce additional payment options via kiosks. This move aims to enhance efficiency and improve customer service, ensuring that Cpost remains relevant in a rapidly evolving industry.
