CPA signs cooperation agreement with Haina International Terminals (HIT)

WILLEMSTAD - The agreement was signed by Mr.Humberto de Castro (CEO of CPA) and Mr. Luis de León (director of HIT) of the Dominican Republic. In addition, Mr. Raul Manotas (CCO of CPA) signed the agreement, observed by Mr. Albert Zwueste (COO of CPA) and Minister of Economic Development, Ms. Giselle McWilliam.

The agreement starts a collaboration that facilitates the exchange of information regarding the regional freight sector. The information exchange also includes statistical data, port traffic control systems and developments in freight projects.

Moreover, the agreement stipulates that parties have the option to increase maritime traffic in both operational ports, to work on educational exchange visits and then to promote the benefits of doing business in both ports. The signing of the agreement is in line with CPA's strategy to strengthen alliances with international stakeholders of strategic value.
