CPA: Current cruise calls status in connection with the Coronavirus (COVID-19)

WILLEMSTAD - Curaçao Ports Authority (CPA) hereby informs that most cruise lines during the past few days communicated that they have voluntarily suspended their activities with different durations. This in connection with an abundance of prudence to support the worldwide efforts to withhold the spread of the Corononavirus, COVID-19. The last cruise lines include Royal Caribbean, Carnival, NCL and MSC (including subsidiaries) that have suspended their outbound cruises from the United States for the next 30 days.

Generally, when schedule changes apply, a chain of communication from the cruise line to the ship's agent and eventually the port office is initiated. However, given the sudden suspensions and required planning around the latest developments, we experience delays in this process in the short term. As a result, the online cruise schedule will not effectively reflect the changes in effect.

CPA will review cruise developments and further announcements by these cruise lines and will update its stakeholders as confirmations arrive.
