WILLEMSTAD - Individuals aged 75 and older, as well as those in high-risk groups, can receive their COVID-19 booster vaccination starting Thursday at the Public Health Service Curaçao, the Implementation Organization for Medicine & Health Affairs. This announcement comes from the Ministry of Health, Environment, and Nature (GMN).
The minimum interval between the last COVID-19 vaccination and the current booster should be three months, similar to the time between a positive test. No consideration needs to be given to a flu shot.
High-risk groups include individuals aged 60 and older, persons between 18 and 59 years who receive a flu shot, and individuals between 18 and 59 years with obesity. Additionally, individuals with a mental handicap, those with a weakened immune system, healthcare workers, or residents of care facilities are eligible for a booster shot.
Vaccination can be done between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM and from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM on January 4th, 5th, 8th, 9th, and 10th.
