WILLEMSTAD – During its meeting on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, the Council of Ministers of Curaçao approved two important measures aimed at improving public services in healthcare and tax administration.
1. New Regulations on Waiting Times and Language Use in Healthcare
The Council approved a draft national decree establishing clear rules regarding waiting times and the use of language in healthcare services. This initiative, proposed by the Minister of Health, Environment, and Nature, aims to ensure timely access to care and better communication between patients and healthcare providers. The draft will now be submitted to the Council of Advice via the Governor for further review.
2. Temporary Staff Reinforcement at the Tax Department
To address operational challenges and improve efficiency, the Council of Ministers also approved the temporary hiring of 30 project employees at the Tax Office.
