Council of Ministers receives visit from athlete Glenka Antonia

WILLEMSTAD - The Council of Ministers received a visit from athlete Glenka Antonia, who won Curaçao's first silver medal at the Central American and Caribbean Games in El Salvador. 

 

 

A delegation from the Curaçao Olympic Sports Federation (FDOK), representing Curaçao, participated in the 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games in El Salvador. Our youth competed in sports such as tennis, athletics, swimming, softball, baseball, and archery. Our athlete Glenka Antonia knew she could win by clearing a height of 1.84 meters, securing the second-place finish. Glenka Antonia, a female athlete born on September 4, 1999, practices the sport of high jump and also won a silver medal at the ODESUR Games last year. 

 

The Cabinet of Pisas received the athlete in its entirety and congratulated her on this achievement. As a token of appreciation, Minister responsible for Sports, Mr. Sithree van Heydoorn, presented a gift to the athlete and expressed gratitude for highlighting Curaçao's name in the high jump competition.
