WILLEMSTAD - Legal aid will be free for the low-income in Curaçao. The Council of Ministers has agreed to this at the request of the Minister of Justice Shalten Hato.
The Attorney General of Curaçao is authorized to sign an agreement for an indefinite period of time for the provision of free legal assistance to the incapable and underprivileged. The free services are provided by four lawyers: Jo-Anne de Wind, Roberto Polsbroek, Artoir Herrera and Bernice Rollings.
The Council has agreed to present the draft national decree to the Governor for signature.
