Paul Pradin, Honorary Consul of France, was elected as Dean. The other board members elected were Helvig Jonckeer- van de Laarschot (Honorary Consul of Finland) as Vice-Dean, Jan Van Belleghem (Honorary Consul of Belgium) as secretary, Waleska Schumacher (Honorary Consul of Brazil) as treasurer, Pablo Rebolledo Schloss (Consul General of Colombia) as a board member and Anthony Brosnan, (consul at the United States consulate) as a board member.
The Consular Corps of Curaçao was founded almost 80 years ago and represents 32 countries. Its members are diplomats, career or honorary, and serve as consul general, vice-consul, or an honorary consul. They assist citizens from the countries they represent visiting or living in Curaçao in consular and some legal matters. They also work to promote good relations, political and economic, between Curaçao and the country they represent.
