Corendon Mangrove Beach Resort continues construction

WILLEMSTAD - As Corendon Hotels & Resorts, since the day we were founded, our highest priority has always been to provide our guests with a safe and pleasant stay. The safety and well-being of our guests, employees and partners is always our top priority, under all circumstances. We are therefore also obliged to take the necessary measures to keep everyone safe and healthy during this challenging period.

Since the government of Curaçao has closed its borders and canceled all incoming flights, we cannot receive our guests on April 1 (the official opening date). Our guests are informed and together with the various travel organizations we look for a new date for their stay.

The government of Curaçao has also taken additional measures to prevent the further spread of the coronavirus on the island. This means for our employees that we will follow the measures of the government of Curaçao. Our employees will work in smaller groups, with fewer people, so that a distance can be kept between workers and everyone remains safe. Naturally, this means that we will work with fewer employees on the construction site. The measures also mean that the opening of our hotel will take place later than planned. At present, the situation is unclear for everyone and new measures are being taken every day. This also makes it impossible for us to give a realistic date when we can open.

We continue to build our hotel and make sure we are ready to receive our guests as soon as it is allowed. Among other things, we depend on the measures taken by the government of Curaçao and the Netherlands to stop the further spread of the coronavirus. As Corendon Hotels & Resorts, we fully support the decisions of the government of Curaçao and the Netherlands and share the priority of keeping everyone safe.

On behalf of Corendon Mangrove Beach Resort, we wish everyone a lot of strength in these difficult times. Stay safe and take good care of each other.
