WILLEMSTAD - Corendon will sponsor the Curaçao Football Federation (Federashon Futbòl Kòrsou or FFK), as announced on Thursday afternoon after a meeting between Atilay Uslu, the owner of Corendon, and members of the football federation's board, Ramiro Griffith, Sharetti Bryan, and advisor Gilbert Martina.

During the discussion, Uslu confirmed his support for the football federation in their mission to participate in the 2026 World Cup. "I fully support the football project for 2026. I believe in it, and my fervent wish is that Curaçao manages to qualify. I'm committed to it and will financially support the FFK," stated Uslu.

If Curaçao qualifies for the World Cup, it will be the country's first time ever. The tournament in 2026 will be held in Mexico, the United States, and Canada. For the first time, 48 teams will participate instead of 32, providing Curaçao with a better chance of qualification.
