WILLEMSTAD - Starting from Monday, August 14, 2023, the police will begin targeted enforcement against drivers who park their vehicles in unauthorized spots.
On several occasions, it has been noted that more and more motor vehicle drivers are parking their vehicles in unauthorized locations.
These actions will commence on Monday now in Punda, specifically in Kuipenstraat, Gomezplein, and the surrounding areas.
These actions will demonstrate that when the police come across a vehicle parked in an unauthorized location, they will either clamp it or tow it at the expense of the driver/owner.
Drivers/owners of vehicles that have been clamped or towed must go to the Punda police station after receiving a fine to either remove the clamp or retrieve their vehicle.
The police urge all motorists to adhere to traffic regulations properly to avoid the mentioned consequences.
These controls will continue.
