WILLEMSTAD – Minister Charles Cooper, together with the Ruimtelijke Ontwikkeling en Planning (ROP), has officially granted a construction permit for the expansion of the Boutique Hotel ’t Klooster located at Abraham de Veerstraat 12 in the Pietermaai district.
The project will increase the hotel’s capacity from 24 to 25 rooms and add 12 apartments. The new rooms and apartments will be spread across three floors.
According to the ministry, the design and planning of the project took several factors into account, including construction requirements, water drainage systems and sufficient space to accommodate visitors.
The expansion represents an investment of approximately 15 million Caribbean guilders and is expected to be completed in 2028.
Officials say the project will contribute to the local economy, particularly through the creation of jobs during the various phases of construction.
