WILLEMSTAD - The completion of four hundred building permit files has brought in an additional one million guilders for the government. This is revealed in the 2023 annual report of the Ministry of Traffic, Transportation, and Spatial Planning (VVRP).
With the issuance of 677 building permits, an amount of 217 million guilders is involved. Building permits for 67 social housing units in Tera Korá have also been granted. The homes are constructed in collaboration with the 'Kas Awor program,' enabling individuals with minimal income to become homeowners.
The annual report also mentions that funds from the European Union have been made available for water purification facilities. This amounts to 18.2 million euros. The funds will be used to repair existing facilities in Kwartier, Klein Hofje, and Tera Korá.
