Cold case dead girl reopened

The police and the Public Prosecution Service are calling on the population to help reopen a 2012 cold case.

WILLEMSTAD - This is the case of the death of a 19-year-old girl named Rayziënne (Raiza) Scoop. She left her boyfriend's house on the night of December 31, 2011, to January 1, 2012, and went missing for a long time.

On March 19, 2012, her lifeless body was found in the bushes at Playa Canoa. DNA research has finally determined that it was the body of 19-year-old Raiza Scoop.

At the time, in 2012, after investigations, the police made several arrests and interviewed witnesses. However, at some point, the police investigation stalled, and no sufficient evidence could be obtained to bring someone to justice.

After the police recently examined a few files with old unsolved murder crimes, it was decided in consultation with the Public Prosecution Service to clarify the case of Raiza Scoop and reopen the investigation.

This is due to the seriousness of the case, in which the young age of the girl obviously plays a role and the fact that - after analysis - some clues were nevertheless seen for further investigation.

The help of the Curaçao population is sought and a reward from Naf. 10,000, - guilders promised for the golden tip or tips that lead to the solution of the matter.

People who have information about Raiza Scoop's disappearance and / or death, where every detail is welcome, are asked to contact the police at telephone number 108 as soon as possible.

We apologize for the quality of the pictures.
