WILLEMSTAD - The Maritime Operation Center (MOC) of the Coast Guard sprang into action in response to a distress call from a sailing vessel off the coast near the entrance of Sint Annabaai. The vessel was reported to be taking on water, putting its occupants in a perilous situation.
Upon receiving the urgent call, the Coast Guard swiftly dispatched their well-equipped vessel, Metal Shark, to provide immediate assistance. The highly trained crew wasted no time and set out to reach the distressed vessel as quickly as possible.
The situation onboard the sailing vessel was critical, with two individuals struggling to cope with the rising water levels. However, thanks to the prompt and efficient response of the Coast Guard, the distressed sailors found a ray of hope amid the crisis.
Upon reaching the troubled sailing vessel, the Metal Shark crew acted swiftly and professionally. They secured the vessel to their own and began the towing operation, ensuring the safety of everyone on board. The anxious moments at sea were soon replaced with a sense of relief as the Coast Guard vessel expertly navigated its way back to the safety of the shore.
