WILLEMSTAD - Last night, the Coastguard medically evacuated a cruise passenger after the ship had left the port of Willemstad.

The passenger had become unwell aboard the Serenade of the Seas. The ship was at that time northwest of Curaçao.

The coast guard helicopter has flown the patient to Hato, where an ambulance was ready for transport the passenger to the hospital.
