These inspection patrols are carried out in collaboration with the Harbor Safety Inspection, Curaçao Police Force, and Customs. These authorities conducted checks at various beaches and bays. During the upcoming inspections, the Coast Guard will take strict action and, if necessary, impose fines. In the worst case, the vessel may be confiscated. Adhere to the rules and ensure that you have valid ship documents on board.
The Coast Guard advises all boat owners to regularly maintain their boats. Ensure that you have enough safety and rescue equipment on board, such as life jackets, a flashlight, a first aid kit, enough water, a fire extinguisher, VHF radio, or a charged mobile phone.
