Coalition MP with questions to Prime Minister on communication plan Klesch Group

WILLEMSTAD - Member of Parliament Stephen Walroud wants to know from Minister of General Affairs Eugene Rhuggenaath what the communication plan is to prevent the deal with the Klesch Group from coming into a negative light. He refers to the "tendentious and manipulative" information that is being launched against the entire process currently underway to keep the refinery open, with the aim of reversing the deal with Klesch.

To prevent further misconceptions, Walroud also asks for an update on the next steps that will be taken regarding the refinery and the agreement with Klesch. He asks what the development plans are of the 180 hectare site around the Schottegat that has now become vacant and the empty sites around Bullen Bay that are connected to the "Jetty 2".

Incidentally, the member of Parliament is full of praise for the information provided by the government during the entire process. He is also pleased that most employees have registered with Curaçao Refinery Utilities (CRU) and that Gary Klesch has personally spoken to various parties in Curaçao, including the trade unions. He finds it reassuring that the trade union presidents seemed to be positive after the meeting with Klesch.

He ends his writing with 22 questions to Rhuggenaath.
