Local | By Correspondent May 20, 2024

WILLEMSTAD - Member of Parliament for the MFK party David Seferina is urging the Minister of Economic Development (MEO), Ruisandro Cijntje, to take action in Punda. Seferina has sent a second letter to the minister regarding this matter, according to a press release from the MFK party.

The first letter was sent on January 17 and remains unanswered. Seferina has been waiting for a response for 122 days. In his letters, he emphasizes that although there are many tourists in the city center, there are no activities offered that provide them with a cultural experience or introduce them to our attractions.

The politician also points out that there is no information point for tourists and that the city center turns into a "ghost town" in the evenings. According to Seferina, this has negative consequences for the safety of both residents and tourists.

The parliamentarian urges Cijntje to take measures and respond to the letter so that the problems of the city center can be addressed.
