WILLEMSTAD - The Curaçao Medical Center (CMC) has received a piano, which has now been placed in the hospital's atrium. The piano is a donation from an anonymous benefactor, known as ‘Angel’, the hospital announced in a press release on Monday.

"The initiative was set up to foster a healthy and positive atmosphere for patients, visitors, and staff. Research has shown that music has significant therapeutic benefits that contribute to overall well-being," the hospital stated.
To inaugurate the new piano, Randal Corsen gave a special performance for patients and staff at the CMC. The piano is available for those who can play the instrument, under supervision, to ensure it is treated respectfully and appropriately.
"The piano is an important step in our mission to support the healing process and create a pleasant environment in our hospital," said Gilbert Martina, the director of CMC.
