WILLEMSTAD - The Curaçao Medical Center (CMC) has agreed to the conditions for receiving new liquidity support. Minister of Health, Environment, and Nature, Javier Silvania, confirmed that he has received a letter from the hospital's Board of Directors regarding the approval. The support amounts to 25 million guilders.
In the correspondence, Silvania mentioned it as a positive sign that preparations have been made for the purchase of an MRI machine, with the purchase already included in the 25 million guilders.
The minister also emphasized the importance of being informed every two months about the progress of the efficiency measures being implemented by the CMC. He stated that failure to provide complete updates could result in withholding the next tranche of financial support.
