WILLEMSTAD – The Curaçao Maritime Association (CMAR) has reappointed Sujit Matoera as president for another two-year term following its Annual General Meeting held at the Curaçao Maritime Museum.
The meeting brought together members of the island's maritime sector to review the association's activities over the past year, discuss ongoing projects and outline priorities for the future. Among the initiatives reviewed were the Buskabaai project, the successful hosting of the Caribbean Shipping Executives' Conference (CSEC) in Curaçao, and preparations for renewing the Memorandum of Understanding between CMAR and Curaçao Ports Authority (CPA).
Members also voted to reappoint the Audit Committee, whose oversight of the board's work during the past year was praised for providing valuable recommendations to strengthen the organization.
Following the formal meeting, members participated in a networking reception aimed at strengthening collaboration within Curaçao's maritime community.
CMAR represents companies and professionals active in Curaçao's maritime industry and regularly organizes events focused on industry development, education and regional cooperation.
