Special Fundraising Evening Set for October 17 at Hato Caves
WILLEMSTAD – After a seven-year absence, the CliniClowns FUN(d)raising Dinner is making its return to Curaçao. On Saturday, October 17, 2026, CliniClowns Curaçao will once again host its special fundraising evening, this time at a unique venue: the Hato Caves.
Under the theme “Expect the Unexpected,” guests can look forward to an evening filled with surprises, memorable experiences and special encounters.
The last FUN(d)raising Dinner was held in 2019. Previous editions were highly successful and served as an important source of funding for the work of CliniClowns Curaçao. By bringing the event back at this distinctive location, the foundation hopes to raise as much money as possible while also increasing awareness of the important role its clowns play in healthcare settings.
Rather than a traditional seated dinner, the FUN(d)raising Dinner will offer an all-inclusive walking dinner experience hosted by Robin Housen of Housen’s Culinary Experience. Throughout the evening, guests will move through different experiences in and around the Hato Caves, combining gastronomy, entertainment and unexpected moments.
The concept reflects this year’s “Expect the Unexpected” theme, with guests deliberately kept in suspense about what they will encounter during the evening. That sense of surprise also connects with the work of CliniClowns, where personal interaction, imagination and unexpected moments can provide relaxation and bring a smile to people facing difficult circumstances.
In addition to the walking dinner and entertainment, the evening will feature a raffle and auction to raise additional funds for CliniClowns Curaçao.
All proceeds from the event will go directly toward the organization’s work in Curaçao. Through play, humor, personal attention and imagination, specially trained CliniClowns connect with children and adults receiving care. By responding to each person and situation, the clowns create moments of relaxation, connection and joy at times when they can be especially meaningful.
Tickets for the FUN(d)raising Dinner cost XCG 375 per person and are available through the CliniClowns Curaçao website. Companies can also support the event through various sponsorship and corporate dinner packages. Contributions in kind and prizes for the raffle and auction are also welcome.
The CliniClowns FUN(d)raising Dinner will take place on Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 7:00 p.m. until approximately 11:00 p.m. at the Hato Caves in Curaçao.
