WILLEMSTAD - Several civil servants will hold a meeting during working hours on Wednesday. Six unions announced this in a press conference on Monday.
The meeting will take place from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. The topic is the 12.5 percent cut on the salaries of public sector employees. In June, parliament indicated that it wanted to abolish the 12.5 percent discount on civil servants' salaries as soon as possible.
The salary discount was a condition that the Netherlands set at the time of the corona crisis, in exchange for liquidity support.
