CORO - Following the reopening of borders and as part of the closer ties between Venezuela and the ABC islands, Henny Reinilla, President of the Carnival Groups of Curaçao, is currently visiting La Vela de Coro. He came to take part in the grand celebration of the "Santos Inocentes" (Holy Innocents) known as "Locos de La Vela." During this visit, he is evaluating the experience, organization, work, dedication, and sense of belonging of the members of the foundation, both adults and children, in relation to this celebration.

Reinilla's agenda includes a 3-day stay in La Vela, during which he had a meeting with the Board of the Chamber of Commerce and Tourism of La Vela de Coro. Present at the meeting were Yoselis Lopez, President; Juan Gotopo, Vice President; and Yully Zamarripa, Secretary. Also in attendance were Liberio Ramirez, Vice President of the Locos de La Vela Foundation, and Xiomara Bracho, director of the foundation.
Yoselis Lopez, President of the Chamber of Commerce, mentioned that Reinilla's visit strengthens the bonds of brotherhood between La Vela and Curaçao, which have existed for 388 years. On his part, Juan Gotopo, Vice President of the Chamber, stated that these interactions mark a significant turning point in relations and describes the reopening of the border as dynamic and positive due to the activities and exchanges that have taken place over the past 5 months, both in the commercial and cultural domains.
Reinilla's agenda for Sunday, October 8th, includes meetings with local business owners and a visit to the minor basilica of El Carrizal.
In the coming days, the President of the Carnival Groups of Curaçao will return to the country for another business visit.
