WILLEMSTAD – On Friday, June 27, 2025, the Ministry of Economic Development (MEO), in collaboration with Mi NEGOSHI Shared & Support Services, ADECK, and the Curaçao Chamber of Commerce, organized a celebratory event designed to inspire and empower the island’s entrepreneurial community.
The event, themed “Driving Growth and Development,” took place in the bustling business street of Junior Salas in Punda. It served as a vibrant hub for information, inspiration, and networking.
Entrepreneurs had the opportunity to gather valuable insights at the Information Market, located outdoors near various stakeholders, while inside the Mi NEGOSHI Shared & Support Services building, a range of engaging and relevant topics were presented to both existing and aspiring business owners. The presentations were so popular and well-attended that the indoor space proved too small to accommodate the large number of visitors.
The event concluded with a business happy hour, offering attendees the chance to connect and network. Minister of Economic Development, Mr. Roderick Middelhof, delivered a speech congratulating all micro, small, and medium-sized entrepreneurs. He emphasized the vital role these businesses play as the backbone of Curaçao’s economy.
Following the Minister’s speech, several attending entrepreneurs won prizes through a raffle, which added an extra layer of excitement to the celebration.
The Ministry of Economic Development, Mi NEGOSHI Shared & Support Services, ADECK, and the Chamber of Commerce expressed their sincere gratitude to all stakeholders and participating entrepreneurs whose contributions made the event a true success.
Reflecting on this informative and festive afternoon, MEO and Mi NEGOSHI reaffirmed their commitment to continue organizing similar educational sessions to ensure that local entrepreneurs are better equipped with the knowledge they need to grow and succeed in their businesses.
