CBS Publishes Detailed Reports on Demographics, Education, Labor, and Income Based on 2023 Census Data

WILLEMSTAD – The Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) Curaçao has released four in-depth publications based on data from the 2023 Census, covering the areas of demographics, education, labor, and income. Each report offers a comprehensive analysis of a specific topic, including tables, visualizations, and additional insights to help better understand trends and patterns within the population. 

Key Highlights of the Four New Reports: 

Demographics: This report focuses on the structure of the population, including age, sex, household composition, and migration trends. It provides a clear picture of how the population is evolving and what factors are driving these changes. 

Education: This publication presents data on highest level of education completed, gender differences, and compliance with compulsory education laws. It offers valuable insight into the island's educational development and challenges. 

Labor: The labor report highlights labor market participation, unemployment rates, types of occupations, and other important aspects related to the working population. It gives a clear overview of employment dynamics in Curaçao. 

Income: This publication analyzes the distribution of income, sources of income, and income levels, both at the individual and household level. It sheds light on economic inequality and the main financial drivers for families on the island.

In addition to the four reports now available, CBS announced that several more publications based on the 2023 Census are in the pipeline. These include: 

A “Neighbourhood Viewer, an interactive tool that will visualize data at the district level. 

A publication on housing and its characteristics. 

An in-depth analysis focused on public health. 

A dedicated report on migration trends.
