WILLEMSTAD – The Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) of Curaçao has officially launched its Annual Business Survey for the 2024 financial year, previously known as the National Accounts Survey.
The survey targets a broad range of local entities, including corporations (N.V.s), foundations, and sole proprietorships, and aims to collect both financial and non-financial data to provide a comprehensive picture of Curaçao’s economic performance.
According to CBS, the collected data will be combined with administrative sources to better analyze and monitor the island’s economic development. This includes information on business revenues, expenses, employment, and other key indicators.
Participation in the survey is mandatory, as stipulated by the National Ordinance on Statistics. Companies are required to submit their completed forms within two weeks of receiving the questionnaire.
CBS has assured all respondents that the information provided will be handled with the strictest confidentiality and used exclusively for statistical purposes.
The results of the survey will play a crucial role in shaping government policy and economic planning, as well as providing insights for the private sector.
