WILLEMSTAD - The Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten predicts an economic growth of 4.4 percent in 2024. In 2023, the economic growth was 4.1 percent. According to the CBCS, the economy has recovered rapidly, surpassing pre-pandemic levels.
The Ministry of Economic Development (MEO) states that it will continue to strive for sustainable and inclusive economic growth to strengthen the economy. MEO aims to achieve this by creating stability in prices, improving the investment climate, and increasing foreign exchange reserves.
Furthermore, MEO wants to generate additional employment by stimulating small businesses in sub-sectors.
