CBCS hosts regional panel on global monetary shifts and their impact on the Caribbean

 

WILLEMSTAD - The Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten (CBCS) will host a high-level panel discussion on November 14 focusing on the impact of global monetary changes on the Caribbean region.

CBCS President Richard Doornbosch will moderate the discussion, joined by three regional central bank governors: Kareem Michael of the Central Bank of Belize, John Rolle of the Central Bank of The Bahamas, and Timothy Antoine of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank.

Digital innovation and de-dollarization

The panel will explore how digital innovation, de-dollarization trends, and growing financial fragmentation are reshaping Caribbean economies. Key topics include the evolving role of the U.S. dollar and the emergence of stablecoins in regional and global finance.
