WILLEMSTAD - Customers can use their debit card from the Girobank again this Friday. The Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten announced this in a press conference this morning.

It is not yet known when companies can use the payment system of the bank. The management of the CBCS said that they will discuss this with the companies. The Central Bank announced yesterday that Girobank would close temporarily after no more transactions could take place.

The bank guarantees a credit of up to 10,000 guilders for each customer.
