SAN ANTONIO - A Caribbean military unit has earned an honorable award during the Texas Trail Roundup in San Antonio, Texas. The troops, part of the Caribbean Militia (CARMIL), successfully completed three challenging distances over three days: 10 km, 42 km, and 21 km. Their outstanding performance won them the Golden Booth Award, a trophy presented to the best-performing military unit.

The three-day event, comparable to the Nijmegen Four Days Marches, focused on teamwork, physical endurance, and perseverance. The Caribbean soldiers excelled in all areas, leaving a strong impression on both the event organizers and fellow participants. Winning the Golden Booth Award means that the CARMIL name will be officially linked to this distinction for the next twelve years.
The Texas Trail Roundup is an international walking event that brings together both military and civilian teams. CARMIL’s participation highlights the military collaboration and exchange between different countries and regions. The unit returns home with the trophy and an enhanced reputation, solidifying its place in the international military community.
