WILLEMSTAD – On Saturday, July 5, students from Caribbean Medical University (CMU) will once again host their CMU Mobile Health Event at Zuikertuin Mall. During the event, which will take place between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM, visitors can receive free blood pressure and blood sugar tests. 

The results will be discussed on the spot, and if necessary, participants will receive information on conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and potential heart issues. If follow-up care is needed, individuals will be referred to their general practitioner for further evaluation. 

The main goal of the initiative, according to CMU, is to raise public awareness about the three most common health issues on the island: high blood pressure, diabetes, and obesity. At the same time, the event provides CMU students with valuable hands-on experience in performing basic medical procedures. 

The event is open to everyone and aims to promote early detection and prevention of chronic health conditions in the Curaçao community.
