WILLEMSTAD – A Canadian man tragically passed away last Thursday after drowning at Porto Marie Beach. Police were called to the scene around 2:45 p.m. following reports of a swimming incident.
Upon arrival, authorities discovered that bystanders had already pulled the man from the water and were attempting to revive him. Emergency services arrived shortly thereafter, but despite their efforts, paramedics were unable to resuscitate him. It is suspected that the man had ingested a large amount of water before being pulled from the sea.
