WILLEMSTAD - The Campo Alegre brothel is bankrupt. Two other companies went to court on Tuesday to file for bankruptcy. The judge agreed to that.

This includes a cleaning company that has not been paid since December. There is also a tax debt of almost 7 million guilders. Campo was founded 71 years ago on May 30, 1949 by, among others, the Catholic Church.

Campo has been closed since March due to the corona crisis. In addition to the 150 sex workers who work on a temporary basis, 84 people who are supporting staff are on the street.
