WILLEMSTAD - A small number of households at Bullenbaai have been receiving electricity from the Isla Refinery since the Shell's departure in 1985. That has never been adjusted, but now they cannot escape it: PdVSA is leaving at the end of this year.

That is why all residents have been informed that from 1 January they will be supplied with electricity from Aqualectra and no longer from the Isla.

The electricity goes over the same network, but the meters at the households have to be adjusted. It is also required that the electrical installations in the house must be inspected before the electricity can be supplied by Aqualectra.
