WILLEMSTAD – Fighter Brian Hooi secured a convincing victory over Jhon Grueso at the World Trade Center (WTC) in Curaçao, following a tense and heated confrontation ahead of the bout.
Tensions escalated during the weigh-in, where Grueso initiated physical contact by touching Hooi and even attempting a kick. Despite the provocation, Hooi remained composed and did not engage in the altercation.

Inside the ring, Hooi translated that composure into performance. From the opening moments, he controlled the pace of the fight, landing clean strikes and keeping Grueso on the defensive. His opponent struggled to find rhythm and was unable to impose his game.
