Branches at Biesheuvel are pruned

Local | By Correspondent November 15, 2022

WILLEMSTAD - The Ministry of Traffic, Transport and Spatial Planning (VVRP) has started pruning the trees around the Biesheuvel intersection. This will take place, especially near Triniteit College.

The trees are in the schoolyard. Actually, according to VVRP, it is the responsibility of the school to cut down the branches when they grow outside the yard. Nevertheless, the government has decided to tackle this issue, because the branches cover the traffic lights and it is becoming dangerous for traffic.

The ministry calls on all residents with trees in their garden to ensure that the branches do not grow outside the garden and cause nuisance to neighbors or the public road.

The owners must take care of this themselves. If the branches cause damage, the costs are for the owner of the trees.
