WILLEMSTAD – Police responded yesterday afternoon to a report of a body floating in the sea near Playa Kanoa.
Officers immediately went to the scene and discovered a body partially lodged against the rocks along the coastline. Emergency services, including the fire department, were called in to assist with the recovery operation.
The body was eventually retrieved from the water. According to initial findings, it had been in the sea for several days and was in an advanced state of decomposition.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased. The investigation is ongoing.
