WILLEMSTAD – Minister Charles Cooper, together with the Urban Planning Department (ROP), has officially granted a construction permit to Blue Bay Apartments N.V. for the development of a new hotel within the tourist zone of Blue Bay Resort. 

The new project, titled "The Lotus," will feature 14 villas, each with its own private pool, and a complex of 8 apartments, also equipped with plunge pools. Each unit will include 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The project will be constructed on plot BR-51, which covers approximately 11,000 square meters within the resort. 

"The Lotus" was designed by local architectural firm Bo! Arkitektura, with interior design by Osiris Hertman Studio from the Netherlands. The project is tailored for homeowners and visitors seeking space, luxury, and privacy, aligning perfectly with the high-end vacation demand in Curaçao. It supports Blue Bay’s profile as an integrated resort offering a beach, golf course, and culinary services, and caters especially to long-stay guests. 

Construction officially began in June 2025, and completion is expected by mid-2027. The total investment is estimated at approximately ANG 30 million.
